I didn’t sleep at all that night, studying for the Differential Equations exam. Of course, I got hungry in the middle of the night, and had some of the best tasting granola ever.
You wouldn’t think it right? But oh man, it’s on the same level as my other favorite granola. AND IT’S CHEAPER! I need to buy more boxes for this summer. Mmm.
Speaking of good food, the best omelet I’ve ever had is from Russell Sage dining hall. It’s odd, but I don’t know what this woman does, but it’s so good. Perhaps it’s the oil or sausages she uses or the way she sticks another pan over the one the omelet is in. Either way, it’s cooked just perfect. Kathi is her name. I want to hug her.
I’ll fully admit to leaving a lecture early once so I could get an omelet from this lady.
On my way to the EMPAC concert hall (where I take my exam – weird, right?), I happen to come across some art. The great thing about the RPI campus is that you never know when you’re going to come across some amazing pop art. Today was no exception.
This duct tape/electrical tape piece was a perfect circle. How they managed to create perfect circles or how they even managed to find that color of tape I will never know.
Next to the tape art was an amazing chalk rendition of Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
After my exam, I headed back to Blitman and took a nice nap before my next class. After class, I was starving. I couldn’t wait till dinner, so I had yet another college staple: oatmeal.
With the exception of my coffee and tea, I tend to like my food a lot less sweeter than other people. This lower sugar alternative was ideal for me. I found some nifty coupons hiding inside the box too this time. Win.
Dinner rolled around, and that nap earlier didn’t really hold for me. Half-aware was going on, I went for simple food. Blitman didn’t have a special this week anyways.
Perhaps it was just me being really tired or maybe I just drew the short straw yesterday. But, the chicken tenders were half the size of the usual. I’m not really complaining – it is better portion control, but I couldn’t help but giggle.
The mashed potatoes were great, although I really do need to remember to ask for more gravy. Gravy makes things delicious.
Exam over and full of good college eats, I consequently slept until next afternoon. Tinya Tuesdays (as J. likes to call them) are awesome.
